Just because a company says they are members of NADCA Does not
mean they are! To be sure go to NADCA to see for yourself.
Most companies who have certified ASCS 's do not have them
performing the work. WE DO!!!
We have been members since 2002 and have at least one ASCS
performing work in the field.
The National Air Duct Cleaning Association (NADCA) recognizes
the "Source Removal" method as the only acceptable way to
properly clean and decontaminate air duct systems.
There are three methods of cleaning the inside of the ductwork.
The first method is for a homeowner to use a portable vacuum
cleaner inside each register. This method cleans about 10% of
the duct system.
The second and third methods of cleaning the duct system are
what most duct cleaning companies do. The second method is to
use a special hand held vacuum system which cleans between
50%-75% of the duct system.
Many "less expensive" companies utilize this method because the
equipment (vacuum) is cheaper to purchase and the time it takes
to clean the duct system is less.
As a result, companies that use this second method of cleaning
duct systems charge less then companies that utilize the
preferred method of cleaning duct systems.
The third and preferred method of cleaning the duct system is to
use a high-powered vacuum which is located on a duct cleaning
truck or trailer, high capacity duct cleaning hoses, and
compressed air. This method cleans 99% of the duct system.
National Duct Cleaning Inc. Utilizes this third and preferred
method of cleaning duct systems.
